1. A Partridge in a pear tree: Favorite Stand-Alone Book?
Be prepared to see this pop up a lot! Gone with the Wind is my #1, always. Hands down, it’s the book that made me fall in love with historical fiction. If you are a historical fiction fan, please read this book!
The Boscastle Series by Jillian Hunter is one of my favourite historical romance series. It was a tough choice because I love Lisa Kleypas, but I had to go with the one that blindsided me! I originally found the first few books in a used bookstore. I was immediately in love and began my hunt to own all of them. The series is 15 books long, so forgive me for not showing all the covers. Jillian Hunter, if you ever read this, I need Brandon’s story!
5. Five Golden Rings: Favourite Villain/Antagonist?
Can someone just give this guy a hug? And not the kind that Voldemort gives him. Please make it less awkward.
6. Six Geese a Laying: Rotten egg- What is your favourite world/worldbuilding?
I love the mix of fantasy and medieval elements in A Song of Ice and Fire Series. After all, we can’t all be Tolkien.
7. Seven Swans a Swimming: Favourite Animal Sidekick
Falkor the Luck Dragon from The Neverending Story
8. Eight Maids a Milking: What fictional food do you wish you could taste?
Lembas bread!
9. Nine Ladies Dancing: Favorite dance between two characters?
You can’t mention dancing without Jane Austen. Dancing is such an important component in all her novels. It’s hard for me to pick just one, but I will go with the most popular — Pride and Prejudice.
10. Ten Lords a Leaping: Favorite Book-To-Movie-Adaptation?
Am I putting this book here three times? You better believe it, baby! Gone with the Wind all day, every day.
11. Eleven Pipers Piping: What is your favourite book or booksih thing with musical influence?
I’ve listened to the soundtrack more than I’ve watched the movie adaptation or read the book. Also, please read the sequel. I may like it more than the first.
12. Twelve Drummers Drumming: It’s the end of the song; what’s your favorite book of the year?
1. A Partridge in a pear tree: Favorite Stand-Alone Book?
Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte is my favourite book of all time. Hands down.
2. Two Turtle Doves: Fictional OTP/Favorite Ship?
Magnus and Alec from The Mortal Instruments series will forever and always have my heart. They are just so pure and perfect and *internally freaks out*. Sorry, I love them so much.
3. Three French Hens: Favorite Trilogy?
4. Four Calling Birds: Favorite Book Series?
Harry Potter was one of the first books I read and fell in love with and this series will always be my favourite.
5. Five Golden Rings: Favourite Villain/Antagonist?
While I’m not the biggest fan of the Red Queen Series, Maven Calore made a serious impression on me. I love complicated villains who are not inherently evil and I could go on and on about my feelings on Maven as a villain.
6. Six Geese a Laying: Rotten egg- What is your favourite world/worldbuilding?
This man is the king of worldbuilding. No one else can compete. Ever.
7. Seven Swans a Swimming: Favourite Animal Sidekick
8. Eight Maids a Milking: What fictional food do you wish you could taste?
Seriously, I just want to try everything you can eat at Honeydukes. Give me Fizzing Whizzbees, Chocolate Frogs, Cauldron Cakes, Sugar Quills, this girl’s sweet tooth wants all of it. And yes, I would also have been like Ron and Harry and bought everything on the trolly cart, don’t judge me.
9. Nine Ladies Dancing: Favorite dance between two characters?
Does this count? I’m saying they probably danced like this in the book!
10. Ten Lords a Leaping: Favorite Book-To-Movie-Adaptation?
For me, no movie has ever encapsulated the same feelings the book gave me as well as Call Me By Your Name. This movie is actual perfection.
11. Eleven Pipers Piping: What is your favourite book or bookish thing with musical influence?
Okay, this doesn’t really fit the question, but the musical was based on a book (which admittedly, I have never read). But I absolutely love this musical so much!
12. Twelve Drummers Drumming: It’s the end of the song; what’s your favorite book of the year?
YES to Malec and Blackjack lol
