Do you have a favourite star/constellation?

First question and I am already stumped. Well, I could say the Milky Way and I’ll even admit that it’s the only one I know. Please don’t ask me to point it out.

I’ve never really thought about this. I’ve always loved looking up at the night sky, but have never picked a favourite. I think I’m going to say the Scorpius constellation because I’m a Scorpio.

What’s something you’ve always wanted to try (hobby, food, etc…)

Knitting or sewing! I just want to tailor my own clothes. It would save me the trouble of trying to find someone else to do it for me. Maybe I’ll add this to my 2021 list. First thing to master — how to darn a sock! LOL

I’ve always wanted to learn how to draw. I was always interested when I was younger, but never pursued it any further. Now, as a writer, I’d love to have the ability to draw the characters and places I make up in my head.

What is a book you’re most scared to read?

I started this book and it scared the crap out of me. It could have been because it was the middle of the night, but I do want to get back to it.

The length of this book should scare anyone. I’ll get to it eventually, just need to carve out some serious time to read it.

What’s your favourite plant?

I am going to say a snake plant, but that may be because they are on trend right now. Honestly, bless all you plant people. I love the aesthetic, but I just can’t seem to remember to water them. Oops!

Honestly, I do not have a green thumb whatsoever. I even worked in a garden centre and still kill every plant I touch. So my favourite is probably just anything that never wants to die. Oh, you don’t need to be watered? Perfect.

Do you have a dream job?

Bring a writer would be cool, and I don’t just mean books. Being a screenwriter would be amazing! However, since I can’t seem to get my act together well enough to complete a project, I would be happy in any profession where I can work with books. (Can this be my full time job, please?)

I’ve wanted to be a writer for as long as I can remember. It’s been my dream job my entire life, and maybe, if I can finally sit down and finish writing something, it could be possible.

What’s a random fun fact?

Well, I don’t know if this fact is fun, but I’m not a fan of sweets. Give me all the salty and sour foods, but keep the sweets over there. Yes, that means I don’t eat my own birthday cakes. And I think chocolate chips are vile.

I’m obsessed with genealogy. Digging into my family history has quickly become my 2020 Covid project. Nothing like taking crash courses in Dutch and French to read old family documents.

    1. You’re welcome! And honestly they are so long. I’ve been working my way through the Mistborn series, but I just haven’t gotten around to finishing the last one despite good intentions. Hopefully one day I’ll get to the other ones but I’ll have to carve away some serious time to read them haha. – Amber
