2020 is *finally* over and with it comes a whole new year of book releases. And hundreds more books to add to my ever growing TBR. Honestly, I’m drowning under all the books I want to read. I’m not complaining, there’s nothing better to drown under, but there are just so many and so little time to read them all.
So, here’s a list of some of the most anticipated reads for February 2021:

Title: A Court of Silver Flames
Author: Sarah J. Maas
Release Date: February 16, 2021
Publisher: Bloomsbury Publishing
Genre: Young Adult Fantasy
Pages: 646
Buy: Amazon, Indigo, Barnes & Noble

Nesta Archeron has always been prickly-proud, swift to anger, and slow to forgive. And ever since being forced into the Cauldron and becoming High Fae against her will, she’s struggled to find a place for herself within the strange, deadly world she inhabits. Worse, she can’t seem to move past the horrors of the war with Hybern and all she lost in it.
The one person who ignites her temper more than any other is Cassian, the battle-scarred warrior whose position in Rhysand and Feyre’s Night Court keeps him constantly in Nesta’s orbit. But her temper isn’t the only thing Cassian ignites. The fire between them is undeniable, and only burns hotter as they are forced into close quarters with each other.
Meanwhile, the treacherous human queens who returned to the Continent during the last war have forged a dangerous new alliance, threatening the fragile peace that has settled over the realms. And the key to halting them might very well rely on Cassian and Nesta facing their haunting pasts.
Against the sweeping backdrop of a world seared by war and plagued with uncertainty, Nesta and Cassian battle monsters from within and without as they search for acceptance-and healing-in each other’s arms. (Goodreads)

Knowing the dangers that lie ahead yet yearning for acceptance, Deka decides to leave the only life she’s ever known. Publisher: Kensington Publishing Corporation
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Pages: 320

Sixteen years ago, a teenaged Will Sterling saw–or rather, heard–the girl of his dreams. Standing beneath an apartment building balcony, he shared a perfect moment with a lovely, warm-voiced stranger. It’s a memory that’s never faded, though he’s put so much of his past behind him. Now an unexpected inheritance has brought Will back to that same address, where he plans to offload his new property and get back to his regular life as an overworked doctor. Instead, he encounters a woman, two balconies above, who’s uncannily familiar…
No matter how surprised Nora Clarke is by her reaction to handsome, curious Will, or the whispered pre-dawn conversations they share, she won’t let his plans ruin her quirky, close-knit building. Bound by her loyalty to her adored grandmother, she sets out to foil his efforts with a little light sabotage. But beneath the surface of their feud is an undeniable connection. A balcony, a star-crossed couple, a fateful meeting–maybe it’s the kind of story that can’t work out in the end. Or maybe, it’s the perfect second chance.
From Kate Clayborn, the acclaimed author of Love Lettering, comes a sparkling, tender novel about bickering neighbors, surprise reunions, and the mysterious power of love. (Goodreads)

Once upon a time, two sworn enemies – the bookish daughter of a scholar and the devilish heir to a duke – made a pact: If they were both still single in ten years, they would marry each other.
It was a joke, Nicola thought. A duchess? Her?
But when the Duke of Westleigh returns a decade later, he’s serious. He needs an heir, so he’s holding her to their marriage bargain—diamond ring, lavish gown, engagement ball, and more. Nothing Nicola says can dissuade him. When she calls him arrogant, he praises her honesty. When she makes social stumbles, he catches her fall. And when she gets exasperated, the duke can’t seem to get enough. For reasons she can’t fathom, he claims that no other woman will do.
He’s betting he can change her mind, with logic and passion.

Thanks for sharing this list! I’m excited for A Court of Silver Flames, but also really apprehensive about how it’s going to be, because I didn’t like A Court of Frost and Starlight.

I didn’t really like A Court of Frost and Starlight either. It actually took me a really long time to even pick it up. But the ending with Cassian and Nessa really makes me want to read A Court of Silver Flames just to see them hopefully get their happy ending. I’ve got my fingers crossed it’ll be good. I’m just excited for a focus on Cassian and Nesta and not Feyre and Rhys. – Amber

I’d add ‘The Paris Library’ to this list (by Janest Skelsien Charles). It’s a beautiful book, based in WW2 Paris around the librarians of the American Library in Paris and how they resisted the book gestapo 🙂
