On to the questions!

How many books are too many books in a series?
When it comes to romance novels, there is no such thing as too many books. When it comes to YA, please stop. I don’t want three books. What happened to the standalone? I don’t care to read one person’s POV for THREE novels. Get outta here. So, the simple answer, it depends.
Depends on the genre for me. If it’s romance I don’t care how many books there are, I’ll eat them up. Typically because each book is about different characters so it’s like a brand new book everytime, just in a world I love. With other genres, I tend to not read if it’s anything more than a trilogy. I get bored reading the same POV over and over again, so 3 is my limit.
How do you feel about cliffhangers?
Don’t do my dirty like that. If it’s a situation where the characters are well developed, I feel like the reader already knows how it would play out even if the author doesn’t come out and say it.
I could take them or leave them. I don’t read books sequentially, so even if it has an insane cliffhanger, I probably won’t read the next book right away. I just like a good ending, cliffhanger or not.
Hardback or paperback?
Romance novels – mass markets because I reread them a lot.
Fiction – hardcover preferably.
I like hardback for the aesthetic on my shelves, but would prefer to read a paperback.
Favourite book?

Least favourite book?
Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov. I want to destroy every copy.
Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad. I had to read this book for university and it was the biggest struggle of my entire reading life.
Love triangles, yes or no?
No. Always and forever, no.
Ditto.
The most recent book you just couldn’t finish?

A book you’re currently reading?

Last book you recommended to someone.

Oldest book you’ve read?

Newst book you’ve read?

Favourite author?
Why choose just one? Here is a mini grouping:
Jane Austen, Penny Reid, Lisa Kleypas, Judy Blume, and Margaret Mitchell.
I always have a hard time answering this one. I don’t really think I have one. I guess I’ll just list some of my must-read/buy authors when new books come out:
Madeline Miller, Taylor Jenkins Reid, Neil Gaiman, Lisa Kleypas
Buying or borrowing books?
Both!
Ditto.
A book you dislike that everyone else seems to love?

Bookmarks or dog-ears?
If by bookmarks you mean any scrap of paper I can find, then bookmarks.
Who dog-ears books? I could never. I basically just use whatever I can get my hands on for a bookmark or try and remember what page I was on.
A book you can always re-read?
Almost any romance novel, especially ones by Hannah Howell, Lisa Kleypas, Tessa Dare, Jillian Hunter, and Nicole Jordan.
I’m not much a re-reader to be honest. But Harry Potter is always something I can come back to and pick up.
Can you read while lilstening to music?
Yes, I definitely can and tend to!
I can’t do anything without music playing. I genuinly don’t enjoy silence so I absolutely have to have music playing when I’m reading. I always try and put on a playlist of softer music or songs I don’t know so I don’t get distracted singing along.
One POV or multiple POVs?
This is dependent on the author’s skill at writing from multiple POVS. Otherwise, I am open to both.
I like either, just depends on the story. I do tend to prefer multiple, especially if I don’t like the main character’s POV.
Do you read a book in one sitting or multiple days?
Depends on two things: the book and the amount of time I have. Working full-time makes it hard to read a book in one sitting, but I have been known to do it in the past a lot.
If I have the time and the books isn’t 1000 pages long, I’ll try and read it one setting. Otherwise it’s over a couple days.

Woo-hoo, a fellow Heart of Darkness hater!! 🥳🥳 Seriously, Amber, I relate so much – that is one of my most despised books of all time 😅 Although I have yet to read Lolita, so maybe there’s still a chance I’ll hate it more? 😁
And thanks for the tag, guys! This looks like a ton of fun, and although it’ll probably take me a while to get to it, I can’t wait! 🤗

Yay! Can we have a Heart of Darkness haters party? I never know other people who have actually read it. I struggled sooooo hard through this book. And then I had to write an essay on it and let’s just say I didn’t get the highest grade…I just couldn’t be bothered. And I haven’t read Lolita myself, but from what Samantha has said to me, it is highly possible to hate Lolita more 😂 Heart of Darkness was just bad – Lolita is bad and problematic.
You’re welcome for the tag! Can’t wait to read your answers! 😊

Oh my god, I’m so relieved I never had to write an essay on Heart of Darkness 😅😂 I feel truly sorry for you! I had to read it for university, but that was more than enough for me!
And I do know what Lolita is about – I guess it’s hard to study literature without being spoiled for that one – so I can imagine it being quite scandelous! But then again, there have also been highly problematic books I still enjoyed reading, so I guess we’ll have to see… 😄

Love this! I hate love triangles too, and could never understand the love for Throne of Glass 😅

Love triangles are the actual worst. They just don’t make sense and are usually super cringy. And yeah I used to be a big fan of Throne of Glass when it first came out, but as I’ve gotten older it’s appealed to me a lot less. – Amber

Yes, especially when the author clearly favors one guy over the other. And thanks for sharing these answers. Glad I’m not the only blogger who doesn’t like ToG and series
