Casting Call Series: The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer

I’m always looking for infographics like these for series, so I took matters into my own hands. Voila!

Marissa Meyer’s The Lunar Chronicles is a New York Times–bestselling series of young adult novels that reimagine classic fairytales in a futuristic world where humans, androids, and cyborgs coexist. In the first book, a teenage cyborg named Cinder deals with her wicked step-mother, finds love, and discovers secrets about herself. As the series continues, Cinder forges an alliance with Scarlet, a spaceship pilot; Cress, an imprisoned computer hacker; and Winter, a Lunar princess. Along with a diverse crew that includes a soldier, a criminal, and a royal guard, they must work together to rise up against the evil Queen Levana to save the country and possibly even the world. This series, for us, is a serious case of “Instagram made me do it.” If there is one thing I remember when I began dabbling into #bookstagram, it was seeing a cover with a red shoe. Seriously, the red show was EVERYWHERE! Finally, I broke down. If this many people are talking about this book, it must be good right? Thankfully, but the time I entered the universe, the first three books were out. Reading the first turned into reading the second, which turned into reading the third, and finally waiting for the finale.

This is where Amber comes in. To say I bugged her to read this would be an understatement. Don’t worry, she is used to my book bullying. Ha!

So, without further ado, if we were casting The Lunar Chronicles, this is who Amber and I would cast:

    1. Thank you! We couldn’t find one similar, so we just made one ourselves. I absolutely love Dom Sherwood (one of the few redeemable things in the Shadowhunters TV show I feel). I’d forgotten about BooBoo Stewart until we started working on this blog and looking up actors and so happy we found him. – Amber
